All three major U.S. stock indexes were higher in the last hour of trading on Monday, reversing course from a lower open, as investors appeared to brush aside soft economic data from China. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.45% and the S&P 500 SPX, +0.40% were up by 0.4% each, while the Nasdaq Composite COMP, +0.62% gained 0.7%. The moves expand upon the S&P 500 and Nasdaq’s four straight weeks of gains. Strategists were divided, however, over whether the rally in equities could continue, with those at BlackRock saying it isn’t worth chasing.
