U.S. stocks finished sharply lower on Wednesday amid lackluster trading volume as demand for equities slackened ahead of May inflation data expected to be released on Friday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was off 269.24 points, or 0.8%, to 32,910.9. The S&P 500 was off 44.91 points, or 1.1%, to 4,115.77 , and the Nasdaq Composite was off 88.96 points, or 0.7%, to 12,086.2
