Tesla shuts main showroom in Beijing in shift of China strategy: report

Tesla Inc. TSLA, +0.12% has closed its main showroom in Beijing, amid changes in the electric-car maker’s strategy in China, according to sources in a report from Reuters on Tuesday. The shop, the automaker’s first China store, was located in an high-rent shopping center called Parkview Green, which also has limited space. The company has been trying to get stores in cheaper locations that can also do repairs. Tesla did not immediately respond to a request by Reuters for comment.
