
Papa John’s International Inc. PZZA, -0.03% said Tuesday that it has partnered with Kitchen Express LTD to open 60 restaurants in Kenya and Uganda. Four of these new additions will come in 2022 starting in Nairobi. Kitchen Express LTD is a subsidiary of AAH Limited, which is a majority shareholder in Hass Petroleum Group. Hass operates more than 140 gas stations across 10 African countries. Other countries where Papa John’s has stores include France, Tunisia, Iraq and Morocco. Papa John’s stock has gained 53.8% for the year to date while the S&P 500 index SPX, -0.40% is up 24.5% for the period.
