New York Attorney General Letitia James on Wednesday filed a civil fraud lawsuit against former President Donald Trump, some of his children, the Trump Organization and other businesses associated with him. James’s suit accuses the Trumps of falsely inflating the ex-president’s net worth by billions of dollars “to induce banks to lend money to the Trump Organization on more favorable terms than would otherwise have been available to the company.” James is seeking $250 million in repayment and to remove Trump and his children from their positions at the Trump Organization.
