Live at noon: Former Florida nurse shares what she learned in retiring to Panama


Kris is from NY and lived in various places, the last being Florida for 17 years. She is married to Joel, and she has two daughters and four grandchildren who live in the USA. They were very happy in Florida but nursing was increasingly stressful and she was anxious to retire. But, economically, retirement was impossible anywhere they would want to live, so they had to look for alternatives.

Panama looked like it would work for them so in 2012 they took the plunge and made the move. It has worked out far better than she ever imagined! They’ve lived there almost 10 years and plan to stay.
