Dow Jones Newswires: China’s Caixin services PMI slips, but stays firmly in expansion territory

A private gauge of China’s service sector declined in April but still stayed in expansion territory as consumers shifted to close-contact services after Beijing lifted Covid restrictions.

The Caixin China Services purchasing managers index fell to 56.4 in April, down from 57.8 in March, said Caixin Media Co. and S&P Global on Friday.

It marked the fourth consecutive month that the Caixin services PMI has remained above the 50 mark that separates expansion from contraction
