
Stocks rallied into the closing bell Thursday, shaking off early weakness tied to Microsoft Corp.’s MSFT, +0.79% lowered guidance and worries about the pace of Federal Reserve rate increases. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +1.33% ended with a gain of around 435 points, or 1.3%, to end near 33,248, according to preliminary figures, while the S&P 500 SPX, +1.84% advanced 76 points, or 1.8%, to close near 4,177. The Nasdaq Composite COMP, +2.69% advanced around 322 points, or 2.7% to 12,317.
