: Biden plans Saturday trip to Florida after Hurricane Idalia hits state

President Joe Biden on Thursday said he is going to Florida on Saturday morning, with the trip coming after Hurricane Idalia made landfall in the state on Wednesday morning. When asked if Biden will meet with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican presidential hopeful, a White House adviser, Liz Sherwood-Randall, said the two leaders have met each time that the president has visited the state following a disaster.
